After months of consultations with relevant stakeholders and a discussion at the 66th World Health Assembly in May 2013, Member States endorsed a final draft of the Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of NCDs 2013-2020.

The final GAP 2013-2020 is currently included as an annex to an omnibus resolution on NCDs adopted at WHA, which took a number of important decisions on NCDs in addition to endorsing the GAP.
Action Plan Indicators
As part of the resolution to endorse the GAP 2013-2020, Member States agreed to further develop a set of action plan indicators to monitor the implementation of the GAP 2013-2020 [2]. The process to develop these action plan indicators (APIs) begain in August 2013, with the release of a zero draft set of proposals, to be followed by a consultation with Member States on 14-15 November 2013.
