NCDA advocacy priorities for the upcoming World Health Assembly

This briefing note [1] provides background and key advocacy messages on NCD Alliance’s main priorities for the 69th World Health Assembly (WHA), taking place from 23 to 28 May in Geneva, Switzerland. 

Following the headline key messages, the briefing includes background and key points on all NCD-related agenda items. 

The World Health Assembly is the main decision-making body of the WHO and meets once a year in May. Progress against the global NCD targets and Global NCD Action Plan 2013-2020 is reviewed by the WHA.
