The World Heart Federation has launched Polypill News, compiled by Richard Smith, former editor of the British Medical Journal. This monthly publication provides updates on fixed dose combination drugs ('polypills') for preventing cardiovascular events.

The World Heart Federation has also assembled a group of people who are aiming to make fixed dose combination drugs more available for preventing cardiovascular disease and will convene at the World Congress of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Health in Mexico City on 8 June.
