Extended Description:

As we approach the Fourth UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health (25 September), the NCD Alliance urges Member States to take bold action on alcohol and the broader commercial determinants of health by prioritising people’s health over profit. Alcohol remains a major and often overlooked risk factor for NCDs, including mental health conditions. Despite clear evidence that no level of alcohol consumption is safe, public awareness and political action remain limited, while industry narratives continue to shift responsibility to individuals.
