Extended Description:

NCD Alliance has released its main response to the compilation text of the Political Declaration of the 4th UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health (HLM4) dated 29th May.

We express our support for many of the proposed changes to the Zero Draft that are reflected in the compilation text, including a greater focus on equity and rights-based commitments and a more prominent acknowledgement of lived experience. However, we also encourage Member States to further consider a number of items that are crucial for moving the needle on NCDs.
