This briefing note provides an overview of the NCD Alliance’s main advocacy priorities and key messages for the 70th WHO AFRO Regional Committee Meeting (RCM). The 2020 RCMs take place as the world continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s RCMs are set to be held virtually months after the first session of the 73rd World Health Assembly (WHA73), which was held as a virtual de minimis meeting, the United Nations High-Level Political Forum 2020 (HLPF 2020), and the release of the Sustainable Development Goals 2020 Report [2].
